Russell “Rusty” Martin was born and raised in Poarch, where he learned early on the importance of family, hard work, and community. Influenced by his grandparents, the late A.D. and Willie Lee Martin, he was taught the value of staying connected and helping others—lessons that continue to guide his life today.
Russell brings over 20 years of leadership experience, including a successful career with Walmart and Sam’s Club, where he advanced from an hourly associate to senior leadership roles with national responsibility. After retiring from corporate America in 2017, he returned his focus to serving closer to home.
Today, Russell serves in a leadership role within the Tribal Regulatory Division, working to support initiatives that strengthen community engagement, preserve cultural resources, and promote responsible stewardship for future generations.
Rooted in Poarch, Russell remains committed to serving the community with integrity, respect, and a focus on bringing people together.
