One of the greatest responsibilities we share as Tribal Citizens is protecting our sovereignty.
Sovereignty is more than a word—it is the foundation of who we are as a Tribe. It represents our right to govern ourselves, to protect our lands, and to preserve our history and culture for future generations.
It is something that has been fought for, defended, and carried forward by those who came before us. Because of that, it is not something we can ever take for granted.
A Responsibility We All Share
Throughout my time serving, I have come to understand just how important it is to remain engaged and informed when it comes to protecting our sovereignty.
This is not an abstract issue—it is real, and it continues to require attention, awareness, and commitment.
I have had the opportunity to encounter and engage with a delegation from the Muskogee Nation on two occasions at Wind Creek Wetumpka. Those experiences reinforced for me that sovereignty is something that must be actively protected.
It requires steady leadership, a clear understanding of our position, and a willingness to stand firm in support of our Tribe.
Staying Informed
I would encourage anyone who wants to better understand this issue to take the time to do their own research and stay informed.
There are resources available that provide information and updates on ongoing matters related to our Tribe’s sovereignty and history. One such resource is:

Staying informed is one of the most important ways we can remain engaged and aware of what is at stake.
Looking Forward
No matter the outcome of this election, my commitment remains the same.
I will continue to support and stand behind efforts to protect our sovereignty.
This is not about position—it is about responsibility.
It is about honoring those who came before us and ensuring that future generations inherit the same rights, identity, and strength that define our Tribe today.
A Commitment to Continue the Work
I am thankful for the opportunity the Tribe has entrusted me with to assist in this work.
It is something I do not take lightly.
Protecting our sovereignty is not a moment in time—it is an ongoing effort that requires dedication, awareness, and unity.
And it is a responsibility worth carrying forward.
