Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared a lot about my journey, my experiences, and the values that continue to guide me.
At the center of it all is one message:
Raising the Standard.
It’s a simple phrase—but it carries a deeper meaning.
What It Means to Raise the Standard
For me, raising the standard is not about asking more from others.
It’s about expecting more from ourselves.
It’s about how we lead.
How we serve.
And how we show up for our people every day.
It means:
- Leading with accountability and transparency
- Creating real opportunities for our people to grow
- Staying connected as a community—no matter where we live
- Protecting who we are while preparing for what’s ahead
Raising the standard is about being intentional in everything we do.
A Standard You Can See
Recently, my shirts came in with the message “Raising the Standard.”
While it may seem like a small thing, it represents something bigger.
It’s a reminder—not just for me, but for anyone who wears it—of the responsibility we all share to lead by example, to stay engaged, and to continue moving forward.
