Staying Connected: A Commitment Beyond the Election
One of the things I’ve heard consistently—whether from those here at home or those living outside the area—is the importance of staying connected.
Connection matters.
It matters to feel informed.
It matters to feel included.
And it matters to know that your voice is still part of the conversation, no matter where you live.
A Commitment to Ongoing Communication
If elected, I am committed to continuing this connection through my blog.
Not just during the campaign—but beyond it.
This platform is not just a place to share updates. It is a way to:
- Communicate openly
- Provide context behind decisions
- Share what is happening within our community
- Keep Tribal Citizens informed and engaged
Transparency starts with communication.
And communication should be consistent.
Reaching Every Tribal Citizen
Having lived outside of our community for many years, I understand how important it is to stay connected from a distance.
You may not be here every day, but you are still part of this community.
That perspective has shaped how I think about communication.
It should not be limited by geography.
Every Tribal Citizen—whether local or out of the area—should have access to information, updates, and opportunities to stay engaged.
Supporting a Stronger Community Strategy
Staying connected is not just about sharing information—it is part of a broader community strategy.
A strategy that focuses on:
- Strengthening communication
- Encouraging engagement
- Building trust through transparency
- Creating space for ongoing dialogue
When people are informed, they are empowered.
And when people are engaged, communities grow stronger.
Transparency Through Access
Transparency is more than a concept—it is something that must be practiced.
One of the simplest ways to do that is by making information accessible.
Through regular blog updates, I will work to provide:
- Clear communication on key topics
- Insight into decisions and priorities
- Ongoing updates on issues that matter
Because people deserve to understand not just what is happening—but why.
Looking Ahead
This commitment is about consistency.
It’s about making sure that communication doesn’t stop once the election is over.
It’s about building a habit of staying connected, staying informed, and staying engaged.
Moving Forward Together
We are stronger when we stay connected.
Stronger when we communicate.
Stronger when we listen.
Stronger when we remain engaged as a community.
That is the commitment I will carry forward.
